Hiring Process and Applicant Resources

Application Steps

  • Our application process requires you to upload a copy of your resume or curriculum vitae. Cover letters are optional and beneficial when written by you, not AI because they help us better understand your background.

  • We have intentionally designed our application to be quick for you and informative for us. In most cases, it will take no more than 5 minutes because when you upload your resume or CV, it auto-populates the required information; please double-check for accuracy. The non-essay questions at the end are to understand your qualifications, availability, and subject interests.

  • All candidates will complete short activities, including video-based questions, a DISC profile test, and assessments to evaluate English language proficiency, problem-solving, and time management skills.

  • If invited, you will have the opportunity to meet with our team for an interview. You do not have to manage awkward emails back and forth or fear misunderstanding. Our scheduling tool allows you to select from a list of times that work best for you, manage the appointment, and easily import it into your calendar.

  • Ghosting is not our style. We are committed to keeping our candidates updated and transparent about their application standing. In most cases, we will have a decision to share within 5-7 business days from the final interview.

    Possible outcomes include receiving an offer of employment, being waitlisted for future offers, and being declined for the role they applied for but encouraged to consider future positions.

  • After you have received your offer, let us know whether you wish to join us and develop your career while positively impacting the lives of the students we serve and transforming the future of New York and beyond. We are available to answer any questions to help aid your decision-making.

  • The safety and well-being of students are paramount. As a partner of the NYC Department of Education and the nature of our work with youth, everyone must successfully undergo a background check and fingerprinting to receive clearance. New hires will incur no costs for this process.

  • You will start acclimating to our company mobile application and completing your digital training and hiring documents during onboarding. After setting up your user profile, you will receive targeted information about relevant placements.

    Our program managers will begin working to evaluate and prepare you for opportunities in the pipeline that align with your preferred course level and subject. Until new hires have received clearance, starting new assignments is not possible.
